Who we are
The Centre for the Implementation and Development of Family Group Conferences is a joint project of the organisations Amalthea and energeia. We have been working with Family Group Conferences since 2017 and develop their use in social work with families.
We carry out Family Group Conferences in the Pardubice and Hradec Králové regions. We collaborate with organisations and institutions, train professionals and raise awareness of this approach throughout the Czech Republic.
We are a member of the European network of Family Group Conference providers, FGC.
Our mission
We give families the space to find their own solutions to difficult life situations, with the support of people they can rely on.
Our vision
We want Family Group Conferences to become a standard part of family support in the Czech Republic. We strive to enable families to use their own resources, involve the people close to them and take an active role in deciding their future.
What we want to change
- The family takes responsibility for finding solutions to its situation.
- The child is given space to have their voice heard and takes part in decisions that affect them.
- Professionals trust the family's abilities and support it in finding its own way.
- Family Group Conferences are a recognised and accessible approach in social work throughout the Czech Republic.
Amalthea
provides social and therapeutic services to families with children, supports healthy family functioning and helps prevent situations in which children cannot grow up in their own family.
Energeia
develops human potential through social, educational, charitable and cultural activities, and also supports environmental projects.
